Reflecting on a hundred years, if you’re still defined by the principle of valuing relationships and overcoming challenges for those you love, then you kept the core values strong. Remember your foundations, that geekiness for computers and video games that led you to computer science, and the hardworking parents who showed you the value of effort. Think back on the journey—programming from your home country to Dubai, and finally settling in Montreal to start again and do your Masters some fifteen years ago. It was never easy being away, but you learned to be on your own, found your path, and against all odds, built a family with two kids and kept fighting for them and for your loving partnership. Life was quite a ride, and looking back, know that it was worth every heartache.
